Tamiza from Don Valley is now running this location and I wanted to share and update our review in the past. As an update, our daughter, now in grade 7, has received straight As and is often the go-to student to read during classes by her teacher. Sophia is doing well in all new subjects requiring reading/writing, which is something we focused on over the years at Oxford Learning. Tamiza deserves all the credit for her work; she is very knowledgeable and put together the appropriate tutoring material. Try it out!! Start early and often as the children accept forever! Here is my old review from Don Valley: Our daughter, aged 6, entered Grade 2 in 2018 but lacked confidence in her reading and writing. She struggled with both and didn’t want to even try it. Based on a recommendation from a friend, who is also a high school math teacher, we approached Tamiza in the summer of 2018. She did an assessment and made some recommendations, which were followed up with parent review meetings (a total of five this past year). The results have been outstanding, and we are very pleased. Let our daughter explain, as she recently wrote, in her own words, in her class; "My friends recently asked why I am so good in school. I said it was Oxford Learning." We plan to continue with Oxford Learning indefinitely and recently enrolled her in the summer camp for a month, as well as continuing with twice-a-week lessons in the other weeks. As Charlie Munger recently opined "If you want one mantra ... figure out what works and do it. You just go at life with that simple philosophy, you’ll find it works wonderfully well."
