Fuelled by an unwavering passion for teaching, I've dedicated my career to inspiring a profound love for science among students in the UK. As a private tutor and education consultant, I've tirelessly worked toward bridging the gap between students and the captivating world of science. Serving as a personal representative for various colleges and universities, I've not only facilitated academic guidance but also ignited a curiosity for knowledge.

My commitment to education goes beyond conventional boundaries, which is evident in my journey of acquiring a BSc and MSc in Pharmaceutical Science from London Metropolitan University in the UK. The accolades of earning two scholarships and becoming a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry highlight my relentless pursuit of excellence in the scientific realm.

In addition to my educational endeavours, my enthusiasm for helping students flourish extends to regulatory affairs. Working with the UK government in the Regulatory Affairs Unit, I played a pivotal role in shaping policies that ensure the quality and safety of pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, my diverse experiences include serving as a specialist health researcher for UK media, adding a unique dimension to my contributions to both education and public health.

This intersection of teaching, regulatory affairs, and health research underscores my holistic approach to making a lasting impact on students and the broader scientific community. Divya Sachdeva is a passionate executive assistant with over eight years of experience in handling various administrative tasks. She has completed her graduation degree in visual arts from India and post-graduation in Museum administration from where she started as an office administrator for a renowned museum in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Having held positions in various educational institutions in India, Divya believes that her skills and qualifications, with her mixed experience, have a lot to offer to meet the needs of her clients at Oxford Learning. She has been working with various educational institutes which create a difference in traditional learning systems by building up 21st-century skills in present-generation kids. She believes Oxford Learning is one of those platforms where learning can create a difference and can build well-rounded individuals.

Prior to teaching at Oxford Learning, Madame Mary taught French and ESL for 12 years in Hong Kong. Her students have ranged from the Elementary school level to High School. The foundation of Mdme. Mary’s teaching philosophy lies in the belief that good communication and language skills go hand-in-hand and play a big part in student success. Her goal is for her students to enjoy learning a new language through a variety of materials and understand the benefits it can bring!

Advantage English & ESL Teacher

Ms. Asta’s pedagogy to create safe and meaningful learning experiences for her students stems from her background in Expressive Art Therapy. She has tutored elementary and high school students in mathematics, English, and Elementary French. Ms. Asta specializes in supporting the learning of our ESL/ELL students of all ages. Her ability to connect with our students has proven successful in their learning needs.

Mr. James has 17 years of certified teaching experience, mostly at the high school level. He has BA and MA degrees from the University of Toronto and the Toronto School of Theology and received a Bachelor of Education Degree from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Mr. James’ areas of specialty are English, Philosophy, Theology and Ethics. He is also a published author (2010). Mr. James is passionate about coaching students to believe in themselves and their endless possibilities. He also believes that an effective educator must not only be a committed teacher but a lifelong learner. He is honoured to be a part of the team at Unionville Oxford Learning.

Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa. I am a York University student in the Bachelor of Education program specializing in the Intermediate/Senior division. I graduated from York University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Indigenous Studies.

I have experience working with and teaching students of various ages. I approach teaching with a holistic pedagogy. I want to develop not only the mind but also the emotional and social aspects of the student. I want to make teaching fun and exciting for my students and support and encourage active minds!

Advantage Math & Science Teacher

Dr Edgar Liu graduated from the University of Toronto with a BSc degree specializing in pharmacology and majoring in physiology.  He then continued with his MPhil and PhD study at the University of Hong Kong.  After getting his PhD degree, he worked in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, as Education and Training Manager.  His recent job was Senior Program Director at the University of Hong Kong, School of Professional and Continuing Education.

He is an experienced private tutor in mathematics and science subjects.

Sina

Advantage Math & Science Teacher

Sina has taken courses at many different institutions, including the University of Toronto and Harvard University. He recently graduated from Western University as a math major with a perfect 4.0 GPA and a 98% average. With over five years of experience teaching mathematics and other STEM subjects, nothing brings him more joy than seeing his students master complex math concepts. Sina has deferred his acceptance to an Ivy League law school (top 5), where he received a full scholarship offer to teach at Oxford Learning Centers.

Sandra

Beyond Tutoring & ESL Teacher

Sandra Maria Perez brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Education profession as it relates to adult and child learning and Development. She has over 10+ years of experience working with various school boards as an Education Assistant, supporting children with multiple exceptionalities, special needs, and learning challenges.

Sandra is a retired Government of Ontario civil servant. However, with a passion for teaching, she has undertaken the role of Learning Coach, ESL Tutor, and Education Assistant to support students in the classroom, virtual learning, and one-on-one.

In her previous professional career, Sandra worked in Human Resources as a Special Programs Consultant and Policy Analyst. In addition, she was a Learning and Development Consultant in her own company, “Customers First International,” and a Licensed Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Practitioner.

Sandra has a passion and commitment to supporting students of all ages who aspire to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their lives, including cognitive skills, academic success, and lifelong skills and abilities.

Gerthan

My name is Gerthan Selvanathan, and I am a teacher candidate in the Consecutive Bachelor of Education program at Ontario Tech University. My teachable subjects are senior/intermediate biology and general science, and I am passionate about teaching Math and English. I have an Honours B.Sc. in Neuroscience from McMaster University, where I worked for the undergraduate peer tutoring network.

I have experience teaching students of all ages, with a particular focus on improving critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I believe that all students can improve their metacognitive awareness, and I hope to be a guide in cultivating a comprehensive foundation for their learning.
