We decided to send our son, Sawyer, to Oxford because he was struggling a bit in reading. He struggled to sound words out, to retain site words, and to read long passages, although his teacher had worked hard with him all year, as had we. After a few weeks at Oxford, Sawyer was reading better. He was taking the time to sound words out, and it was as if he had suddenly learned the skills he had somehow missed along the way. After attending Oxford for about 4 months, Sawyer is now reading at grade level. He is more confident with his reading, and he now willingly reads out loud. He is excited about reading again.
